ON STEEL

Time is the most precious resource we have, and being present in the moment is considered the most fulfilling state according to ancient philosophers. However, when should we be present - in the shortest or longest interval, since we exist in both at once? The series "On Steel" offers a path from the unimaginably vast time cycles to the minuscule, personifying what everyone desires but cannot achieve. Steel in this series represents both the author's hometown of Yekaterinburg and the region of the Urals. The language used in the works is a play on words, with "on steel" sounding similar to "come," indicating the present moment.

Twenty acrylic lettering pieces on A4-sized steel plates create a sequence that spans from a broader time frame to the tiniest, highlighting awareness of the present moment.
